how-i-met-your-murderer: how-i-met-your-murderer: There certainly is a right way to slit your wrists. The reason for this is the speed with which blood leaves the body. For example, if you are successful at slitting across your wrists you will lose blood at a slower rate. In many circumstances people who have slit their wrists were caught by friend or family member and taking care of. When you slit up your arm you lose blood quicker and it is  much more likely you will die of bloodloss before help can arrive. However, even though the blood loss is slower, it by no means less likely to kill you. If no help arrives you would still lose too much blood to survive.
